The exhibition “O Glyky Mou Ear…” presents a curated selection of painting and printmaking works from the collections of the Municipal Gallery of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, spanning from the 19th to the 21st century.
Through this visual journey, the mystical transformation of nature meets the spiritual atmosphere of the Holy Week hymn “O Glyky Mou Ear”, linking the renewal of spring with the symbolism of resurrection.
A rich chromatic palette transforms the spring landscape beyond its naturalistic depiction into a poetic reflection on human existence. Light becomes a structural element, shaping form and revealing the deeper essence of nature.
Set against the cultural backdrop of Corfu’s Easter, the exhibition highlights spring as a timeless symbol of reconciliation between humanity and the natural world, inviting visitors into a contemplative dialogue with memory, light and renewal.
The exhibition includes paintings (oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media) and prints (engraving, etching, woodcut), both monochrome and color.
