The Corfu Annex of the National Gallery of Greece was inaugurated in 1993 in the area of Kato Korakiana. It is housed in two renovated historic buildings, Kastelino and Kasteleto.

The annex hosts a permanent exhibition that presents the development of modern Greek painting, from the early post-Byzantine period to contemporary works of recent decades.

It also organizes temporary exhibitions, cultural events and educational programs for all levels of education, contributing to artistic education and the cultural life of the local community.
