The Gouvia Cultural & Beautification Association was founded in 1989 and has developed significant activity in the enhancement and environmental care of the wider Gouvia area in Corfu, with the support of local residents and businesses.

Its main objectives include the preservation and improvement of the natural beauty of the area, as well as the protection and care of the local environment.

Since 2017, the association has operated traditional dance classes, recognizing the importance of cultural heritage in education, entertainment and community bonding. The dance groups include children, teenagers and two adult groups, with more than 70 members.

Under the guidance of traditional dance instructor Eleftheria Karydi, the dance group participates successfully each year in festivals, cultural events and local celebrations across Corfu.
