The Greek Hero XTRI is an ultra-distance triathlon race and part of the XTRI World Tour, the leading global series of extreme triathlon events that includes some of the toughest and most iconic races in the world.
Athletes are challenged to complete three demanding disciplines:
Distances
🏊 Swimming: 3.8 km in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea.
🚴 Cycling: 180 km through the mountains, olive groves, and traditional villages of Corfu, featuring challenging climbs and breathtaking views.
🏃 Running: 42.2 km mountain marathon on technical trails and historic routes.
The race starts from the pier of the historic Mon Repos on the eastern side of Corfu, with a spectacular swim at sunrise in the Ionian Sea. The swimming segment finishes at Mandraki Harbor, beneath the Old Fortress of Corfu.
The demanding cycling course then showcases the island’s diverse landscape, passing through mountainous terrain, olive groves, and traditional villages.
The final stage is a challenging trail marathon that leads athletes through Corfu’s natural beauty and cultural landscapes.
The race finishes at the iconic Angelokastro, on the north-western side of Corfu, creating a truly unforgettable experience for both athletes and spectators.
