The Chlomos Cultural & Community Improvement Association “Th. Palaiologos” was founded in 1983 and is dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural traditions of Chlomos and the wider area.
The name “Th. Palaiologos” is linked to the local tradition concerning the visit and stay in Chlomos in 1460 of Thomas Palaiologos, Despot of the Morea and brother of the last Byzantine Emperor, Constantine XI.
The Association maintains a traditional dance group, established in 1984, which has presented dances from the Ionian Islands and many other regions of Greece at cultural events in Greece and abroad.
It also operates a choir, founded in 2000 and a member of the Corfu Choirs Union, with an active presence in choral meetings, festivals and cultural events in Corfu, across Greece and internationally.
Through its activities, the Association contributes to preserving local traditions and strengthening the cultural life of the area.
